Michigan Rainbow Regional (updated directions) 6/29-7/9

Corrected directions to Michigan Rainbow Regional, Huron National Forest, June 29th-July 9th, near Glennie MI. 44.560912, -83.72562 1 (then follow directions below.) Bring lots of water! It is a haul your own water gathering. There is a well pump over a mile from site. Drive carefully, sections of road are shared with off-road vehicles.

From Glennie, head North on M-65/S. State Rd for 3.8 miles to Co Rd 4124 marked “National Forest Campground”, turn left.

Head West exactly 1.0 mile to the road on the left marked, “3960”, (which on map is actually 4307/Skeel Rd), turn left here.

Continue west on 4307/Skeel Rd. exactly 1.2 miles. Do not turn right at the lake access. In a short distance you will see some Private Property signs, but you are totally legal to drive right through. After you’ve made it through the private property signs, stay to the right, continue on Skeel Rd.

Be careful, but don’t panic, an ORV trail merges for 100 yards or so, stay at steady speed through sand. Stay right. Continue not panicking. The sign for a secretary of state license means YOUR car is legal (off road vehicles aren’t). Continue to Welcome Home.
Find a place to park with tires off the two-track. We love you so much!

Sat. June 17, 2017, Gallup Park Ann Arbor, MI (see map below)

Important Council at this picnic! All are welcome in council, even if this is your first gathering ever. Consensus will decide if kitchen will go to big Annual Gathering in Oregon, or remain local or otherwise.

Reunite with Rainbow Family and find rides and riders to gatherings. This picnic/council is taking place at Gallup park in Ann Arbor (see map below), starting sometime often in the late afternoon. Drive the main park road, over the one lane bridge, southeast, all the way to the back of the park. We are often near the big tree in the middle of the field, or sometimes by the river, but we will be there, making music, playing frisbee, circling in peace, healing and freedom. See the map below for directions, and IGNORE ALL RUMORS OF CANCELLATION regardless of weather. Family will be on the land rain or shine! Bring a dish to pass and all good things. No alcohol please. WE LOVE YOU!  Click map below to get directions.

No Organized Activity in the Arb – July 18, 2015 (Peace Farm campout July 18-20)

Nichols ArboretumIgnore all rumors of cancellation, and all rumors of organization! As university policy expressly forbids any organized activities in the Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor, we here again sternly warn that there will not be any organized activity in this most magical arboretum in the late afternoon on the last day of the Ann Arbor Art Fairs.

If, though, you find yourself in Ann Arbor, MI on Saturday July 18 (last day of the Ann Arbor Art Fairs) and to escape the crowds, you decide to wander in the center of the Arb late in the afternoon, and you happen upon some happy hippies in heartsong, friendly family fostering free food, frisbees, frolicking, and fun…you can rest assured that it is no one’s fault. Saturday night AFTER Arboretum frolicking there will be a fire circle and overnight camping at Peace Farm north of Ann Arbor, Friday evening July 18 through July 20.  All are welcome to camp at Peace Farm July 18-20, but the owners request NO alcohol nor dogs, and prefer no access to their private home during the campout. Click here for Arboretum parking and picnicking directions. Peace Farm directions: Take US-23 to exit 54. Go west (toward Hamburg) 1.5 miles on M-36. Peace Farm is on your right (north side of the road), marked by a prominent Peace Sign sign. Peace Farm is located at 8265 M-36, Whitmore Lake, MI, click here for map.
