Here are directions to Michigan Regional gathering, June 29-July 9. This is not an alternate nor protest gathering. The Turtle Trailer couldn’t make it to GA with resources on hand so we’ve elected to gather in Michigan. Also, consensus is to not post a map pin, only post directions. You can send a pin by private message only, please don’t post publicly.
These are directions as listed by scouting crew, there are some mysterious typos, but this is all the info we have at this point. We heard from someone that the question marks mean there is a space with illegible letters, but that is a rumor.
From US-37 south of Baldwin turn west on 14 mile rd opposite Sippy Flats general store.
Go 1 mile to Bingham rd and continue west on 14 mile (dirt) road for 1 more mile.
At end of road turn right on curvaceous road 5?96.
Go 0.75 miles on 5?96 turn right at fork and continue north on 5396 for 0.25 mile, turn sharp right.
Look for rainbow marker. Head southeast on 5548 0.25 mile to 5550 on left.
Great Lakes Fall Counsel, hosted by the South Bend Kidz, is happening now through Sept 24th! Come on home to the woods, .
Ignore all rumors of cancellation, and all rumors of organization! As university policy expressly forbids any organized activities in the Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor, we here again sternly warn that there will not be any organized activity in this most magical arboretum in the late afternoon on the only Saturday of the Ann Arbor Art Fairs.
If, though, you find yourself in Ann Arbor, MI on July 22 (Saturday of the Ann Arbor Art Fairs) and to escape the crowds, you decide to wander in the main meadow of the Arb late in the afternoon, picnic basket in hand, and you happen upon some happy hippies in heartsong, friendly family fostering free food, frisbees, frolicking, and fun…you can rest assured that it is not your fault! Click here for parking near Arb or here for path to no organized activity. You can park in the arb lot, or if full, you can park free in the neighborhood south of the Arb.
Saturday night AFTER Arb, at dark, we’ve been invited to a fire circle and campout at Peace Farm north of Ann Arbor, pending consensus. Bring a tent! All are welcome at Peace Farm but peace farmers request no alcohol and all pets on leashes.. Peace Farm directions: Take US-23 to exit 54. Go west (toward Hamburg) 1.5 miles on M-36. Peace Farm is on your right (north side of the road), marked by a prominent Peace Sign sign. Peace Farm is located at 8265 M-36, Whitmore Lake, MI, click here for map.

Corrected directions to Michigan Rainbow Regional, Huron National Forest, June 29th-July 9th, near Glennie MI. 44.560912, -83.72562 1 (then follow directions below.) Bring lots of water! It is a haul your own water gathering. There is a well pump over a mile from site. Drive carefully, sections of road are shared with off-road vehicles.
From Glennie, head North on M-65/S. State Rd for 3.8 miles to Co Rd 4124 marked “National Forest Campground”, turn left.
Head West exactly 1.0 mile to the road on the left marked, “3960”, (which on map is actually 4307/Skeel Rd), turn left here.
Continue west on 4307/Skeel Rd. exactly 1.2 miles. Do not turn right at the lake access. In a short distance you will see some Private Property signs, but you are totally legal to drive right through. After you’ve made it through the private property signs, stay to the right, continue on Skeel Rd.
Be careful, but don’t panic, an ORV trail merges for 100 yards or so, stay at steady speed through sand. Stay right. Continue not panicking. The sign for a secretary of state license means YOUR car is legal (off road vehicles aren’t). Continue to Welcome Home.
Find a place to park with tires off the two-track. We love you so much!
