To parking:
From 31, west of Interlochen Mi., go north on 669, Maple city hwy 5.3 miles. Turn left on Almira road, 610. Go 3.4 miles on 610. (610 changes names from Almira to Rayle to Fowler, just stay on 610). About 2.5 miles past Spear road, turn north (right) on to two track (44.747401, -85.954678) (if you hit Haze Rd, you’ve passed it). Continue on two track ¾ of a mile, staying right at the forks. Park off of the road before the road gets rutty, before the blue trail. (44.751337, -85.950793)

To site: Follow two track (becomes blue trail) and hike about 20 minutes. Meadow is on the right, before the trail markers on the left. Welcome Home. (44.752793, -85.941561)

It is a reasonably long hike in to the site along the two track; hauling help is available for elders and family with differing abilities.

Family Reunion Picnic, June 7, 2014 Gallup Park Ann Arbor

Reunite with Rainbow Family and find rides and riders to gatherings. This picnic/council is taking place at Gallup park in Ann Arbor (see map below), starting sometime often in the late afternoon. First time gatherers are always welcome HOME! Drive the main park road, over the one lane bridge, southeast, all the way to the back of the park. We are often near the big tree in the middle of the field, or sometimes by the river, but we will be there, making music, playing frisbee, circling in peace, healing and freedom. Great Lakes Rainbow Spring Council April 25-27, 2014

Great Lakes Rainbow Spring Council 2014 will be held at Green Eagle Farm,5104 Stimson Road, Onondaga, Michigan 49264 , Friday April 25 – Sunday April 27, 2014.

For those new to Rainbow, council is much like any other gathering with plenty of food, fun, music, old and new friends around the campfire, though at some time(s) during the weekend we’ll pass the feather in a circle to decide plans for the kitchen and trailer(s) over the summer. All are welcome in council, even first time gatherers. Plenty of informal discussions and also heartsong circles are likely as well. When an actual “council” is “happening” depends on the consensus of the council, but it will certainly happen sometime between Fri-Sun.

Also please note that the Rainbow Family is being hosted by the Green Eagle Farm where there will may day celebration going on at the same time as the Rainbow council, so there may be more folks than usual around the fire. First time gatherers are always welcome HOME!
